The reductions in costs result either from reducing the size of the sewage treatment plant or from considerably increasing the throughput of an existing plant. Advanced uses of the existing potential are created by increasing the percentage of biogas.

Leakage test in the drinks industry
Another special application for ultrasonic technology lies in leakage tests of filled drinks bottles. In this setup the bottles filled with fluid enriched with carbon dioxide pass through an ultrasonic tank that causes excess gas to form in the bottles. The overpressure that builds up in the bottles leads to the liquid escaping if there is a leak.
